General Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally (Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Suppliers & Manufacturing) to define and execute DTC initiatives

  • Evangelize concepts related to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) , DFA (Design for Assembly) and DTC (Design to Cost)

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills

  • Work autonomously and also act as an effective team member, exhibiting good inter-personal skills. Drive followership.

  • Strong drive for continuous improvement through the application of Clean Sheet principles with a focus on helping suppliers reach the Best in Class costs.

  • Provide timely communications to leadership on significant issues or developments. Prepare material for leadership reviews as required

  • Work to ensure cost gaps are closed

  • Track and monitor team progress as required to meet design cost out goals

  • Guru level understanding of cost drivers & market analytics in assigned area

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify opportunities to drive improvements ( Guru of Frugal Engineering)

Essential Competencies:

  • Preference given to candidates with experience in tools (atleast 2) like : Veribest, innoveda, Cadence OrCad, Mentor Design Capture, Mentor DX Designer, Circuit CAM, Lab View, VALOR MSS & VALOR Process Prep

  • Strong knowledge of PCB Design, Functional Test and ICT test for product, test and tooling development and Mechanical design

  • Preferred candidates would have worked in roles like PCB Process Engineer, PCB Designer, Value Engineer & Quality Engineer

  • Strong understanding of Should Cost Modeling Drivers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering

  • 8-12 years’ experience in manufacture of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electro mechanical assemblies at Contract manufacturers or ODMs or Captive SMT lines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering

  • 8-12 years’ experience in manufacture of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electro mechanical assemblies at Contract manufacturers or ODMs or Captive SMT lines.
