Raytheon IV&V Systems-Product Engineer in Dallas, Texas
Opportunity for an Engineer to work in the System Verification Center of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) division, at our facility in North Dallas, Texas. The immediate need and responsibilities are to provide engineering support for the production of RF/TRIMM modules (Transmit-Receive Integrated Modules) along with supporting Test System recurring and new developments. Responsibilities include working independently with limited direction to support the resolution of all technical issues of production and production readiness, leading technical troubleshooting efforts, working with the test support team to meet development deadlines and production milestones, and interacting with internal customers -- making presentations, answering questions, and providing product application data. Additionally, the position requires (1) monitoring of manufacturing and test data on a weekly basis to identify defect trends and working with process and manufacturing engineering to resolve any issues identified, (2) modeling and characterizing electrical performance through simulations, (3) implementing needed electrical design changes, verifying performance of modified circuits, and updating corresponding electrical requirements and specifications. Required Skills: Minimum of 6 years of professional Electrical Engineering experience, including at least two years of directly applicable experience with RF and microwave circuits and digital assemblies Technical expertise with a variety of electronic test platforms, RF Test Methods, Transceiver Architectures, Measurements with Test Equipment and Statistical Analysis Experience in the production and assembly of RF/Microwave modules for complex leading-edge electronics products Proven communication and presentation skills Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain program access US Citizenship Desired Skills: Technical knowledge of RF PWBs layout ADS or RF modeling tools Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical degree.
