SUMMARY: Responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of the Sulzer Pump Services (US) Inc.'s cost accounting activities and related functions for multiple service centers. Reviews and reconciles labor, material, and overhead account activity on a periodic basis. Applies accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports following company policy.
Budgeting / Forecasting for the specific periods as required, Quarterly, Yearly, etc.
Supporting HQ accounting with monthly closing of the Service Center under area of responsibility
Analyze variances between actual figures and budget and research discrepancies in a timely manner
To perform reporting functions by providing statistical data
Perform accounting entries as necessary to adjust specific accounts affecting the financial position of the Service Center under area of responsibility
Support the activities of the Service Centers by providing assistance
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and ESH Management System which includes following all safety, health and evironmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
5 years of directly related experience in budgeting and forecasting, required. Experience in manufacturing environment, is preferred
Excellent business partnering skills and the ability to work with many levels of the organization
Very fluent with PC applications including Word, Excel required. SAP experience preferred (FI and CO)
Must be able to work independently and meet business deadlines
Solid knowledge of current GAAP requirements and rulings
Experience dealing with multiple independent locations
Ability to travel on occassion
