Raytheon Manager I Operations Engineer in McKinney, Texas
Manage 15-20 Assembly Operators / Technicians on first shift who produce 80 to 100 high tech complex Flat plate antennas. Additionally, his or her team would work with equipment such as automated epoxy dispensers, heated presses, ovens, manual solder equipment, measuring equipment in a controlled access / ESD protected area. This position will coordinate daily, weekly Program takt requirements to team and monitor through facilitating morning production meetings. This candidate will be tasked with implementing continuous improvement methods utilizing lean manufacturing principles, and be capable of motivating their team to be involved in these improvements. Also, this individual will develop and maintain performance metrics for the Antenna Integration Factory area to ensure Takt, OTD, Cost and Quality exceed Program expectations and requirements. Additionally, this individual will build upon established FOD Control program, 6S program, Safety program and develop cross-training plans to increase the Operations flexibility. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of relevant operations experience in a manufacturing setting Experience with lean implementation and information technology systems Strong leadership, problem solving, and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Thorough knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel Strong team and individual developmental skills (Coaching for Success) Ability to think strategically and determine long-term impact of decisions Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision Ability to develop innovative solutions to achieve goals of improved efficiency and low assembly costs U.S. Citizenship Existing Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications: Excellent communication Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment Implement lean manufacturing principles Required Education: Minimum of Bachelors degree in Operations, Industrial, Management, Manufacturing or other related discipline.
