Our global procurement organization is seeking a Supply Chain Sr. Advisor who will function in a Program Manager role for all procurement functions necessary to set-up, forecast, procure and deliver materials for Dell or ODM factories.
Responsibilities -Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, operations/manufacturing, distributors and customers -Conducts and/or manages strategic supply chain analysis to identify and recommend opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain -Works closely with other functional areas to develop supply chains for new and existing products -Manages global system product transitions to minimize excess and obsolete material. -Coordinates activities globally to prevent material shortages and react quickly to material shortages -Works with regional demand teams to plan pre-production and production materials -Partners with Global Commodity Managers for product sourcing decisions -Represents procurement on product development teams to ensure design to value analysis is done throughout product lifecycle and helpmanage/reduce supply chain complexity -Provides procurement expertise to ensure optimized supply chain strategies and business plans are in place for assigned products and to ensure best cost and COS -Leads World-Wide Procurement and regional extended teams to ensure risk mitigation plan is in place for any identified supply chain risks -Tracks procurement deliverables within Phase Review Process
-Bachelors Degree and 6+ years related experience -Understanding of business goals, objectives, as well as current industry trends -Problem solving/analysis skills and resolve issues. -Materials requirements plan analysis skills -Supply chain management expertise -Supplier management skills -Negotiation and supplier evaluation skills
Preferences -Masters Degree in Business Administration or related field and 4+ years related experience -Change management skills -Ability to execute demand supply planning -Program/project management skills -Capacity planning skills -Risk management skills -Market research and trends knowledge
