USG Corporation Sales Representative in Texas
The Sales Representative is a field based position responsible for developing and enhancing USG Mexico’s current and potential account relationships in the Corpus Christi, Laredo and surrounding metro areas. The position requires that the incumbent locate near one of these two areas. Position will report to the Commercial Sales Manager in USG Mexico with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Area Sales Manager in Texas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospect new business to grow the international distribution channel in the Texas border region.
Serve as the sales liaison between the customer, USG Mexico and USG Corporation.
Assist and navigate maintenance of business issues. (i.e. Competitive intelligence, complaint handling, product information, customer service issues, etc.)
Partner with domestic division sales, manufacturing, quality and corporate staff to improve market share/results and resolve issues.
Serve as a business advisor to the customer.
Bachelors degree in business or a related field
Minimum three (3) years commercial sales experience in the building materials or construction industry.
Demonstrated experience growing a market.
Able to interpret sales data to measure market behaviors.
Able to successfully collaborate with multiple functional areas.
Comfortable with dual reporting relationships
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
Willing and able to travel as needed
Strong time management and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills
