BAE Systems Manager Supply Chain - Engineering Support in Austin, Texas
Supports the development and implementation of short and long term supply chain strategies that address engineering development and material planning challenges in support of business growth. Facilitates business execution to ensure supply plan aligns with the engineering and program development processes. Leads and acts as focal point for all supply chain activities interfacing with the site s engineering team. Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Optimizes the interface between supply chain management and engineering. Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials is timed to meet requirements. Provides risk management and mitigation on all identified delivery risks by working with the engineering, procurement and commodity teams. Supports the shipment of product to maintain contract and internal delivery commitments. As a principle planner, this position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of the procurement and planning processes and is capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure program success. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes team responsibilities to accomplish objectives. Trains and mentors other supply chain team members. Drives continuous improvement philosophy and approach to problem solving and process improvement.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor s degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
ERP systems experience (Oracle, SAP, other).
Ability to adjust to customer requirements with little notice.
Possess strong understanding of procurement, planning, and engineering development processes.
Ability to create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership teams.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Capable of building relationships and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to train and mentor team members.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
