This position is responsible for supporting Project Engineering, Field Support Engineering, and IEC Engineering by coordinating execution of capital and expense projects for the facility. This position will focus on the instrumentation and electrical portions of projects and will be required to work with other Construction Specialists focused on the mechanical aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reinforce safe work behaviors and monitor performance striving to meet the company's journey to zero

  • Manage project execution utilizing both contractor and CPC resources

  • Facilitate contractor onboarding and kick off meetings to ensure safety and performance expectations are understood

  • Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with applicable industry and company codes, policies, and procedures

  • Monitor job progress and provide regular schedule updates

  • Support project design and execution plan development

  • Review and approve job plans and execution schedules

  • Assist with the review and validation of job estimates/bids

  • Review Issue for Approval packages

  • Conduct constructability reviews

  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to schedule shared resources

  • Coordinate project loop sell offs with equipment owners

  • Assist with the review, approval, and management of change orders


  • An Associate's degree in an Instrumentation/Electronics field with a minimum of 5 years of experience required. Candidates with a more advanced degree will also be considered.

  • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to safely and efficiently manage multiple assignments required

  • Knowledge of Industry and Company codes, design standards, and specifications required

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to interact with other departments to coordinate equipment installation and commissioning

  • Ability to diagnose control system instrumentation

  • Ability to read and interpret ILD’s, P&IDs, spec sheets, and product manuals

  • Experience in maintenance and repair of control valves, electronic governors, ultrasonic flow meters, Bently Nevada vibration monitoring systems, and PLC’s is preferred.

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

  • Experience utilizing Primavera P6 schedules is a plus

  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus
