Who we’re looking for
Toyota Motor North America has embarked on an important mission to become the leader in cybersecurity for global mobility. We are making significant investments to enhance our capabilities through resource levels, talent development, process maturity, and technology enablement.
We are looking for an individual who will oversee our detective capabilities, defensive measures, and our SOC (Security Operating Center) efforts. The ideal candidate will provide strategic intelligence, threat assessments, and utilize a broad understanding of IT operations principles to recommend vulnerability mitigation strategies and appropriate in-depth analytical tools to stay ahead of the threat. In conjunction with the SOC team, this position will work to identify client security breaches and will act as a security advocate to drive practices and environment changes to prevent future events.
What you’ll be doing
In-depth understanding of exploits and vulnerabilities
Oral briefings and provide briefings to senior management regarding intelligence/threat/crisis situations
Assume ownership of, and provide; monitoring, tracking and communication of security incidents and requests
Stay abreast of latest vulnerabilities, exploits and other relevant threat-related information
Report common and repeat problems (trend analysis) to management and propose process and technical improvements
Exercise and mentor others on good professional judgment and security-related ethics
Internal development of policies and procedures to support threat hunting and SOC activities
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Experience in information security
Experience in general information technology operations
Processes and maintain adequate level of technical and analytical skills, to handle security incidents and threats that have the potential to introduce risk to sensitive/confidential data
Detailed understanding of OS internals related to monitoring and threat detection covering Windows, Linux, and OSX
Experience using open source tools such as Remnux, Radare, The Sleuth Kit, Kali, Volatility, Rekall
Experience using commercial tools such as Ida Pro, Hopper, Binary Ninja, etc.
Familiarity with and ability to leverage various internal network, IT, and security platforms such as SCCM, GPO, FireEye, Tanium, Windows event logs, splunk, ELK, etc.
Understanding of network protocols
Ability to deobfuscate and/or conduct basic cryptanalysis of potentially malicious content
Experience using scripting languages such as Perl, Python and PowerShell
Added bonus if you have
Knowledge of the automotive, manufacturing, or software industries
Experience with law enforcement, defense, or intelligence community
OSCP, SANS/GIAC, CISSP or other similar professional certifications
