About the Job:
In the role of Layout Designer, primary activities will include: Floor-planning, layout and verification of complex circuits at cell, subsystem and top level. Candidates should have analog layout experience, with proficiency in analog precision circuits layout (precision references, A/D, precision oscillators) and high voltage analog layout in advanced bicmos processes. They should also know how to optimize layouts with conflicting specifications, as well as be familiar with concepts such as critical device matching/placement and techniques used to prevent noise coupling into sensitive signal lines. Prior to release, they are responsible for design rule and schematic verification, manufacturability, verification, bonding, and ESD verification. They must ensure that all layout implemented meets design, mask, and fab requirements.
Experienced with precision analog layout design.
Must possess basic layout techniques – matching, inter-digitation, routing, etc.
Able to identify required schematic changes and layout schedule bottlenecks.
Ability to closely follow direction so that layout is correctly built, reducing need for layout re-work.
Experience with TI analog processes, LBC7, LBC8, LBC9, etc.
Proven experience designing the layout of SD/SAR converters, precision references and high voltage (85V or greater) AFE using TI's BICMOS process is a strong plus.
Effective communication skills
Familiarity with VXL flow
