POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in plant activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Must meet AbilityOne requirements. 2. Load and unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks. 3. Deliver parts or stock to designated work areas for use. 4. Lift part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture to assist in setting up machine. 5. Assemble and/or packs products as required. 6. Clean and sweep around work areas. 7. Comply with safety regulations and rules. 8. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Experience: Previous loading and unloading of materials, previous knowledge of shipping specs. Specific Skills: Must be able to follow instructions. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required. Other Skills and Abilities: None. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit/stand for longer than eight hours of time. Frequently sits bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms and push and pull a hand truck. Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds with help or assist equipment and regularly lift 25 pounds.. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
