This position will have the opportunity to work with various internal customers to develop requirements, scope, and timeline for space requests. It will also work with customers and influence layout design for most efficient space utilization and construction costs, and presents to design and construction reviews. It will create short-range and long-range facilities plans by identifying and developing facilities options to satisfy project objectives by working with the stakeholders and assessing resources to create the best value for the customer and the company. This position will solicit headcount projections and business plans to enable forecasting of use and occupancy allocation, capital and expense budgets, building utilization and density for managing real property assets and site cost allocations. The role will gather and analyze data regarding current conditions and future requirements, and work with both internal and external organizations to identify and assess impacts to the business operating plan. It will develop, plan, and own certain business initiatives and team activities for enhancing operational efficiency, product quality, service delivery, and asset utilization. Finally, it will have the opportunity to demonstrate ownership of assigned function/program to understand requirements and identify facilities requirements.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications - Strong communications and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas/solutions to all levels of management. - Ability to lead activities for team, factory, program, to multi-task, and prioritize appropriately. - Knowledge of capital planning - Knowledge of Resource Planning, to include Manpower analysis, Space Allocation, and Capital Equipment forecasts. - Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
Desired skills - Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Architectural Design, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. - Knowledge and experience of Microstation or similar Computer Aided Design System. - Excellent computing skills with MS Office and MS Project. - Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt training - Knowledge of facilities requirements analysis, facilities planning, facilities design standards and specifications, building codes, and facilities evaluation techniques and methodologies. - SHAREPOINT Experience - Facilities Management Professional (FMP) Certification - Experience generating/implementing process improvements
