Essential Job Functions:
Accountable to develop and execute a category/subcategory sourcing strategy for spend that will drive measurable improvements in the areas of customer satisfaction, compliance and cost benefits
This individual will coordinate and leverage opportunities across Olin and champion the use of best practice tools and methodologies
Lead the development, implementation and alignment of global sourcing strategies and global supplier network capabilities for key commodities and spend categories to achieve business objectives
Negotiates long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply
Manages contractor service to ensure each of the contractors meet the required qualifications, SLA’s, KPIs, and provide quality service at low cost
Holds quarterly/monthly (as required) supplier meetings with key stakeholders to ensure meeting SLA’s and KPI’s
Plans procurement activities and checks that they are properly carried out and in line with the relevant times and costs
Maintains proper relationships with the sales force, logistics, supply chain, quality, operations, maintenance, and technical services to understand their requirements and priorities
Assists with both internal and external audits and off-site audits of suppliers’ facilities
Ensures definition of procurement strategies and goals aimed at supporting achievement of organization goals
Ensures identification of continuous improvement and innovation opportunities, in compliance with organization development goals
Provides direct and/or indirect development and coaching
Develops risk assessments through the use of Supply Plans and Project Execution Plans (PEP)
Champions the usage of Olin’s Strategic Sourcing Process
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business
MBA strongly preferred
10 years chemical/petrochemical industry required
10 years negotiating contracts with vendor including managing a competitive bid process required
Experience with expediting, shop fabrication, pipe fabrication desired
EPC experience desired
Superior presentation skills and comfortable presenting to senior leadership
Strong organizational, time management, project management, and people management skills.
Ability to interface with internal and external clients/ suppliers/ contractors
Awareness to detail, strong decision-making ability and creative problem solving skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Esourcing, Procure to Source process, reverse auction, analytical skills
