Job Description

Summary:Manages, directs and coordinates the Project team in the successful kick-off, execution, completion, and close-out of Sold Product projects. Strategically identifies, plans and implements new processes, tools and work instructions as necessary. Develops project team through training and coaching to maximize the value of the team and its members. Identifies areas of focus and improvement for the project team. Proficient in working with cross disciplined teams and department heads across the organization to build successful relationship that foster the efficient planning and execution of all projects within area of responsibilities. High degree of self-reliance and leadership qualities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures site-wide zero safety incident mindset and conditions

  • Assumes Ownership/Accountability of assigned team and duties.

  • Leads through collaboration within the team and across functional lines to support One Exterran methodology and key targets.

  • Lives, supports and promotes Exterran Code of Conduct.

  • Provide project management administrative oversight for all projects. Meaning, ensures attainment of project schedules, budgets, procedures and revenues by improving and monitoring the budget and approval process

  • Responsible for every phase of the development and overall project scope so that the team meets project timing, budget, company specifications and compliance with all Country, federal and state regulations.

  • Participates in internal and customer kick off meetings, participates on cross-functional teams, internal and external; addresses inter-departmental issues; establishing and communicating project schedules, objectives, priorities, and targets

  • Identifies and mitigates risks that might affect projects delivery, documents characteristics and performs an impact analysis on project objectives.

  • Keeps upper management abreast on project status : identifying risks, tests, costs, issues, and performance to established targets, on a regular basis

  • Conducts regular customer visits and provides feedback to management and understanding customer requests

  • Solves problems pro-actively and focuses on root causes by working in complex contexts, managing communication with and alignment of stakeholders and top management

  • Mentors Staff Project Managers, coaches Project Managers in project management skills and contributes to the personal development of the core team members within the group

  • Should have working knowledge of gas process packaging, compression equipment, manufacturing design and fabrication.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering or related field

  • 15+ years project management experience in manufacturing industry

  • Project Management Certification or similar accreditations desirable

  • Experience with MRP Planning systems

  • Working with multi-discipline teams

  • Strong communication skills

  • Familiarity with packaged equipment

  • Proficient with project scheduling using Microsoft Project, Primavera or other PM software.

  • Familiarity with ASME and API industry standards

  • Extensive experience in customer service

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of international market trends

  • Knowledge of shipping and commercial (INCO TERMS 2010) terminology

  • Understanding of banking terminology such as: LC, Performance Bond, etc.

  • Experience with KPI’s; inventory turns, on time delivery, absorption, etc.

  • Construction of manufactured equipment.

Physical Constrains:

  • Sitting for long periods of time

  • Lifting 10 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds

  • May be required to work at heights of up to 25 feet

  • Must meet all OSHA regulations and must wear all required PPE when in the shop environment.
