Mechanical Engineer for Tooling, Automation Equipment and Manufacturing SupportJoin a dynamic R&D company that manufactures products locally and sells internationally. Introduce new products to production by developing and implementing processes and deploying equipment. Design and validate new automation equipment for machining and assembly, develop tooling including progressive stamping dies, fixtures and gages, and provide sustaining support of manufacturing. Document designs and processes by producing drawings, work instructions and specifications. Participate in a variety of projects with a wide spectrum of technologies including locking technology, LED lighting, energy, and controls. Be an integral member of a creative and energetic team of professionals including Mechanical Engineers, Software Developer, and manufacturing experts developing equipment and market oriented products. We currently have an opening for a full-time Mechanical Engineer. Requirements: Solid knowledge of CAD/CAM, Capable of producing toleranced drawings for production Capable of producing CNC code for mills and lathes Solid knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and MS Office. Knowledge of failure analysis Knowledge of ISO 9001-2000 preferred Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Processes preferred Must be able to effectively communicate with personnel of all levels in an organization. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BSME with strong math, science and computer skills and 5 years related experience. Expertise in tooling, automation, CNC, or metal stamping is desirable.Understanding of controls, PLC, pneumatics, and hydraulics is desirable.
