Accountemps is working with a fast-growing, dynamic team looking for a Financial Analyst who will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role is with a company in the Manufacturing industry. This Financial Analyst role is a long term temporary-to-fulltime employment opportunity in the Houston, Texas, area. On an average day, the Financial Analyst will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be among the Financial Analyst's duties.
Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process
Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment level Bookings and P L forecasting
Assemble and overview forecasting reports
Ideal candidate would have an adaptable nature and experience dealing with vast amounts of information while exceeding expectations
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide decision making support
Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance
Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending
Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Background in financial analysis and planning
