Job Purpose & Responsibilities This Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all external and internal customers. The ideal candidate will ensure that customers receive best in class service through proactive calls, general correspondence with customers and collaboration with other departments. This position requires consistent communication with customers regarding orders confirmation and communication of feedback, complaints and concerns. The incumbent will be responsible for planning/scheduling and execution/monitoring of shipments from loading facilities to customers.

Planning/scheduling activities include transforming planned volumes into transport legs; calculating planned logistics capacity; comparing planned logistics with contracted units; monitoring issuance of cleared orders; consolidating sales orders by destination; communicating capacity needs to Contracting and Sourcing Department and controlling optimal marine utilization. Execution/monitoring include the creation of the outbound delivery; informing facilities regarding delivery/loading schedules; confirmation of orders scheduled to ship; monitoring diverting/splitting orders; monitoring claims; and tracking shipments until proof of delivery.

Essential characteristics for a Customer Service Representative include being a self-starter, organized, detailed oriented, customer focused and effective in proactively identifying solutions. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly-matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around them.

Receive orders from customers and communicate confirmation and requirements to customers, terminals, and Contracting and Sourcing Department in order to ensure proper logistics capacity and transportation of ordered volume.

Provide 24 hours support to customers and communicate customers feedback, complains and concerns to SBUs in order to promote customer service satisfaction.

Process invoice in SAP once the order is shipped. Monitor and rebill customer for all other misc charges (e.g. Freight, overtime, demurrage, etc)

Oversee the execution of shipments to overseas locations (oversee creation of delivery, inform facilities regarding delivery and loading schedules, confirm orders to be shipped) in order to ensure proper execution of shipments

Build strong customer relationships, loyalty and retention through exceptional sales/service and the presentation, awareness and understanding of our active product portfolio

Utilize analytical skills to drive process improvements and customer focus.

Proactively review buying patterns of customers to understand demand spikes up or down and obtaining market intelligence that can be shared through the organization.

Balances cost and service in the best interest of both customer and company.

Requirements Requirements:

Bachelor's degree OR equivalent, relevant, professional work experiences is required.

Minimum 3-5 years Customer Service and Logistics, Supply chain.

Specific Knowledge: Logistics knowledge, road transport, storage, legal directives in logistics and knowledge of service/cost negotiations.

Competent with office software: Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP.

Expertise of petrochemical industry, customers, markets and competitors.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to work in a dynamic, flexible environment where priorities are continually changing.

Ability to set priorities and manage time in a dynamic work environment.

Good problem solving, analytical and math skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (especially Excel/Word) and web-based applications. SAP Experience a plus.
