Shift Coordinator 1 (Shipping / Receiving)*
2nd shift position.
Ensure that safety procedures are followed by all employees. Oversee manufacturing operations shift with the objective of safely maximizing productivity of quality products while minimizing costs. Ensure that all processes are being followed in the completion of work tasks. Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Oversee operations, maintenance, and purchase and stocking of supplies and raw materials. Maintain and update daily production records and produce reports as necessary.
*Performs SQC (Safety, Quality, Cost) meetings at the start of shift which includes accountability of Associates and Stretching Program. Communicates shift notes via email. *Daily walk through of Warehouse operations and perimeter to identify areas of safety concern, and areas requiring general clean up and organization. *Review and prioritize Shipping schedule, follow through on disposition for every job listed, ensure on time delivery requirements are being met at 100%. Maintain accurate communication of issues with meeting those requirements. Responsible for actions with in all RRD group email received on shift. *Review and prioritize Pressroom schedule to make sure that Paper Handlers are delivering all paper to press on time, accounting for usage, EPR’s and returns being recorded. Communicate any internal and external delays to Production Control. *Generate cycle count waves for first, second, and third series counts. Report all 3rd count discrepancies to Supervisor for review. *Maintain timing of product flow from Receiving to final destination throughout shift so backlogs are not created for product going to Inventory. This includes receipt of inventory by Q.C. Inspectors and Putaways to location by shift Hoist Operators. *Manage unit cost per shift recognizing workloads maximizing throughput while minimizing labor cost. * Analyze and resolve discrepancies reported from Shipping, Receiving and Inventory. The shift Lead is the internal liaison between Inventory Control and Customer Service.
Proven proficiency with computerized warehouse business systems
Excellent problem-solving skills
High degree of organization, accuracy and dependability. Proven leadership skills.
Ability to work in a team environment required.

Ability to follow the requirements of documented processes as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
5+ years experience in a high-volume shipping role, processing a comprehensive variety of shipments (small parcel, mail processing, LTL/truckload, 3PL, air freight, etc.)
Proven experience in a lead capacity, coordinating the work of other employees, problem-solving, etc.
Experience with routing, load planning and evaluating cost parameters.
Freight forwarding or brokerage experience preferred.
WBS/WCCS experience preferred
