Summary: As an LSI Sales Consultant, you are responsible for the sales and promotion of all LSI products to hospitals and surgeons within a specific territory. As a goal-driven sales consultant, you are the primary person responsible for driving revenue by maintaining and growing annual sales volume. Your primary responsibilities include accurately forecasting your business, owning customer relationships, understanding and targeting customer product needs, and developing and executing the sales strategy around those opportunities.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Sales:

  • Plans and creates sales opportunities for a variety of LSI products and develops new customers where cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities and account management skills are critical

  • Creates new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and by developing relationships within the cardiac community throughout the assigned territory

  • Utilizing company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to manage lead generation, lead qualifying, lead follow-up and follow through, including documenting results in CRM

  • Understands the medical device market/industry segment and works to ensure that LSI acquires a significant portion of the business growth in the segment/area

  • Increases revenue in each major account by leveraging relationships and developing internal referrals

Technical Support/Clinical:

  • Represents LSI during OR procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance

  • Partners with LSI headquarters to research solutions to questions or inquires by hospitals/surgeons


  • Educate and trains surgeons and relevant hospital staff on technical matters relating to LSI products and procedures

  • Mentoring and training new employees in the field; including Product Specialists


  • Must review and complete FER’s

  • Assist with travel preparation (packing list, gather of materials needed for trip, etc…)

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality System procedures

  • Assists Director of Sales & Marketing and the Marketing Coordinator with product campaigns and promotions

  • Assists with trade show set-up, tear down and product demonstrations

  • Responsible for generating monthly reports including forecasts and updates on assigned sales objectives


  • Follow through to deliver results in a timely manner

  • Follow up to consistently massage necessary contacts and maintain relationships

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to individuals with different backgrounds/areas of focus

  • Organizational skills and ability to keep accurate records/receipts

  • Creative self-starter with the ability to complete tasks.

  • Mechanically inclined and ability to demonstrate products in real time scenarios

  • Presentation skills and ability to present to rooms of up to 30 people

  • Creative thinking and ability to design immediate solutions without pen & paper

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Experience and Education:

BS degree in Business or Science Field

Associates degree plus 2 years sales experience in medical field

OR/Clinical sales experience in cardiac preferred


  • Travel within assigned territory/territories

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, possess active vehicle insurance and be able to operate a motor vehicle
