Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Use your experience in mechanical and electronic reliability engineering in a Industrial plant to maintain and improve plant operations and profitability. Develops maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Management Program, Appraises and prepares reports on the effectiveness of such programs. Ensures fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current, and forwards inspection reports to Maintenance Manager. Work to improve routine, extraordinary, and turnaround maintenance, equipment and piping inspections, spare parts availability, vibration and oil analysis frequency, company maintenance, and similar activities. Identify and correct problems using root cause failure analysis to find and correct problems with mechanical and electronic designs and installations. Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs as directed in the maintenance manual. Implement the plant preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and maintenance integrity programs and make sure documentation is kept up to date. Work to prepare the maintenance budget, and control spending throughout the year. Establish and maintain a standard of performance for the operation. Insure the alignment of the manufacturing organization with the company vision, purpose and priorities. Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations. Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality. Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals. Ensure continual improvement with overall quality of product. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, systems and processes. Working out the human and material resources needed. Ensure prescribed line pm s are completed timely. Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS and 5S processes. Institutionalize manufacturing Best Practice Tools and Processes. Establish manufacturing priorities and allocate the resources. Ensure compliance with environmental policies, systems and processes. Coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. Communicates directly with QA to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures. Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
